Customer reviews:

Stan is a great guy, a total professional. He's honest, straightforward, and reasonably priced. I would never take my VW to anyone else.  I still take the car back to Stan, because he's just the best in the business. If you have a classic VW, don't go anywhere else.

Now I have never had another classic car repaired/rehauled so take that into consideration, but as a business man, especially one who repairs cars, I don't think you can find a more honest, earnest and thorough guy.  I had my '71 Volkswagon Superbeetle in my garage for the past 20 years.  For my birthday present, my husband dragged it (literally) out of storage and had it towed to Stan's.  From the beginning he was refreshingly straight-forward.  He gave him a good faith estimate as to what it would cost to get it running again.  When my husband gave him the green light, he documented (with digital photos) every step of the process.  Each item removed from the engine and why, and a photo of each one put back in.  He would then email the photos with a detailed explanation of his work.  If something took him by surprise, say a worn clutch, he would immediately send another note with the costs and ask if he should proceed.  In the case of the clutch, he said that I could get by with it for several more months, so if we didn't want to lay out the money we could wait.  He is conveniently located on route 135 in Natick, right near Speen St.  I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him or to use him again.  I couldn't be happier with my 'lil time machine and I'm still smiling each time I pull out of the driveway!
